Jamie Fiegel is an immigration attorney and partner at Fiegel, Carr & Joyce Law Firm. As a U.S. Citizen and Canadian Citizen, she has practiced U.S. immigration law for nearly 20 years. Having gone through the Canadian immigration process herself, this was an important first step in developing expertise in navigating immigration matters on both sides of the border.
Ms. Fiegel’s practice is focused on helping individuals and business clients obtain visas, permanent residency, and citizenship in the United States. She focuses on Canadian/US border issues. Ms. Fiegel understands that immigration may be difficult and uncertain, especially today. Over the past nearly 20 years she has helped clients with all types of needs and backgrounds successfully achieve their immigration goals.
Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, about 15 minutes from the U.S.-Canada border, she earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University at Buffalo Law School, is licensed to practice law in New York State and Federal Court and is a licensed Immigration Consultant in Canada.
Ms. Fiegel has been invited to speak on the topic of immigration law by numerous organizations in the U.S. and Canada.

Kelly Carr is an immigration attorney and partner at Fiegel, Carr & Joyce Law Firm. Ms. Carr has been active in the immigration field since 2010. As a law student, she served as a Law Clerk for the University at Buffalo’s immigration attorney. During this time, Ms. Carr prepared over one hundred H-1B petitions and helped secure Green Cards for many Professors and Researchers. Ms. Carr has exclusively practiced immigration since her admission to the New York State bar.
Ms. Carr’s current practice is focused on securing business visas, including H-1B, L-1 and TNs. She also appears frequently with clients at the ports of entry near Buffalo to facilitate the issuance of NAFTA work permits and to overcome inadmissibility issues. In addition, Ms. Carr enjoys working with families and married couples in obtaining temporary visas, Green Cards and U.S. citizenship.
Ms. Carr recently presented a seminar at the Ontario New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Conference specially geared toward Canadian business visitors and work permit applicants. She spoke about the current atmosphere at the border regarding Canadian business visitors, highlighting certain strategies used to enter the U.S. without hassles or burdensome delays. Ms. Carr also provided an overview of work permits available to Canadian citizens, including the advantages and disadvantages of presenting applications at a Port of Entry or with a USCIS service center.

Daniel P. Joyce joined Fiegel, Carr & Joyce Law Firm in June 2019. Currently Of Counsel, Mr. Joyce focuses his practice on U.S. immigration and cross-border business matters. Mr. Joyce has his roots as a large law firm corporate attorney in Philadelphia and Buffalo, but has concentrated his practice in employment-based and family-based immigration law matters since the passage of the U.S. – Canada Free Trade Agreement in 1989 and NAFTA in 1994.
Mr. Joyce co-founded and managed the firm Hirsch & Joyce from 1992 to 2004, serving the business and cross-border needs of a broad client base, particularly in the transportation industry. He then returned to large-firm immigration law practice at two large Buffalo firms before joining Fiegel, Carr & Joyce in 2019.
Mr. Joyce has shared his extensive immigration experience as a panelist and presenter at numerous CLE conferences and client-based programs, including AILA National Meetings and AILA chapter program, blog articles and CLE articles on immigration law topics.
